The Botsford Kidney Center offers chronic hemodialysis on a scheduled basis,
Monday through Saturday, three shifts per day. Every effort is made to
accommodate each patient’s lifestyle and personal needs in the scheduling
of the days and times of dialysis treatments.
- Home Dialysis
A training program for home dialysis is available which will allow you to
perform dialysis in the comfort of your own home. The modalities of home
dialysis that we currently offer are Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis
(CAPD), and Continuous Cycling Peritoneal Dialysis (CCPD). Appropriate
equipment and support services for home dialysis are provided.
- Kidney Transplantation
Although the Botsford Kidney Center does not perform kidney transplantation,
a kidney transplant coordinator, in conjunction with your nephrologist
and a transplant surgeon, will discuss this option with you and your family,
if you are interested. The Botsford Kidney Center has a close working relationship
with all the kidney transplantation programs in southeastern Michigan.
You will have the opportunity to select the kidney transplantation program
of your choice from
a list of all the available programs.
